Participate in a Reflecting on Practice Coaching Workshop or in the program at your institution, and earn units/credits towards recognition offered by professional associations. Professional organizations provide venues to network with, learn from, and grow the informal environment field.
Earn elective units toward your Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Professional Development Certificate in Education and Interpretation. The Reflecting on Practice program is an AZA Learning Partner – “a formally recognized organization that offers high quality professional learning opportunities valuable to AZA members”.
Earn elective credits or continuing education credit toward your National Association for Interpretation (NAI) certifications. The Reflecting on Practice program is an approved continuing education provider for NAI’s certification program. Each Reflecting on Practice Coaching Workshop day counts as eight hours towards your recertification. Reflecting on Practice Facilitators provide documentation.
Participate in online and in-person learning opportunities through the Association of Science-Technology Center’s (ASTC) professional development group and at the annual conference. Reflecting on Practice is a formal partner of ASTC.
